Kendra’s brand was working when she came to me. She had a full calendar and a solid reputation, but she wanted help with blog writing and SEO.

The more we worked together, the more we both started to see that the brand she built early on was doing its job, but it wasn’t keeping pace with where she was headed. Her clientele was shifting, her work was maturing, and she was becoming more well-known in her industry. All of this was going on while her online presence was still dressed in the version of her from a few seasons ago.

She’d been through redesigns before and had a real fear going on: Is this going to really change anything? Is someone going to see ME and know how to translate that? Or am I going to spend my time and money on something just to feel deflated again?

That fear made total sense…and it’s exactly why we approached her brand the way we did.

The work (so far)

What started as blog and SEO support turned into one of the longest and most layered partnerships in my studio. Over the past 4 years, we’ve touched nearly every corner of Kendra’s brand, and we’ve done it gradually, strategically, and in step with how her business was evolving.

We’ve refreshed her brand identity (kept the logo she loved, refined the color palette, and chose new fonts that leaned into the editorial, timeless look her work was already embodying). We’ve redesigned her website more than once… adding pages, restructuring the architecture, rewriting copy as her voice and audience shifted. We’ve built out a foundational SEO strategy and then expanded into advanced SEO, and we continue that work on an ongoing basis.

Every update has been rooted in the same question: Where is Kendra’s business right now, and what does her brand need to support that?

And here’s the part that mattered most to her: she is part of every. single. decision.

She sees everything along the way. She gives input, asks questions, and never has to sit on pins and needles waiting to find out if she’ll like the result. That’s intentional.

“You listened to me. You got me and you translated it to something incredible.

You let me be part of the process and I can't tell you how much that meant. I didn't have to be on pins and needles to see how something was going to turn out. You let me see it and have a say in any changes all the way along, and I will forever be thankful for that.”

Where she is now

Kendra consistently holds the #1 organic spot on Google for her targeted search terms, and has for over 2 years. Her website traffic comes primarily from organic search result, and we watch that number climb every single month.

Her inquiries have changed, too. The people landing on her site now aren’t just finding a photographer…they’re finding her. The messaging, visuals, and structure of the site work together to attract the clients who are already a fit before they ever hit the inquiry form.

She’s raised her rates. She’s refined her offers. And she’s done it with a brand that finally reflects the photographer and business owner she’s become.

The best part: We’re still working together. Because a brand that’s built to grow with you means there’s always a next version to step into.

Your brand has this in it, too.

If you're curious what it would look like to close the gap between where your business is and where your brand is, let's start that conversation.
