Branding by Kaysha

Brand Photographer

Kaysha is a brand photographer in Orange County who helps women entrepreneurs show up as the face of their business. She'd been doing it well: full calendar, strong reputation, a solid connection with her clients.

Her website, though, had hit a wall. She'd built it herself on Squarespace 7.0, pushed it as far as she could, and reached the point where she didn't have the time or energy to figure out the rest on her own. She needed someone who could handle the migration to 7.1 and give the design a refresh without tearing everything down.

It started with a migration and a light design update. And then…she came back.

About a year later, Kaysha reached out again. The brand had shifted. She had shifted. The polished, buttoned-up look she'd started with didn't feel like her anymore. She wanted something with more personality, more energy, and more fun. She could feel the disconnect between who she was in a room with her clients and who her website said she was, and she was ready to close that gap.

The work

The first project was technical and strategic: migrating her site from Squarespace 7.0 to 7.1 and refreshing the design so it felt current and functional. That gave her a solid foundation to work from and showed us both how we collaborate.

The second project went deeper. We refreshed her brand identity… kept the logos she loved but updated the typography and color palette to match the energy she was bringing to her work. The result ended up looking like a full overhaul while staying rooted in the brand she'd already built. It honored where she started and made room for where she was going.

The shift in color alone changed everything. The site went from feeling heavy and dark to something she described as “a breath of fresh air”. And because we built it with intention, she's been able to carry those updates across every platform—her social media, her client materials, her emails, all of it.

We've continued making updates since then, because that's how a good brand works: it evolves with you.

“My site feels like a breath of fresh air now.

Seeing all the pieces come together, and then being able to run with the changes on my own — from the colors to the fonts, I've been able to integrate everything seamlessly across different platforms for my business."

Where she is now

Kaysha walked away from both projects with something she didn't fully have before: confidence in her own brand. She went from maxing out what she could do on her own to having a site she's genuinely proud to send people to.

The pieces finally match. The colors, the typography, the energy of the site all reflect who she is when she's working with clients. And because we built the refresh to be intuitive, she's been able to run with the changes on her own, integrating them across every touchpoint in her business without needing to call in reinforcements.

Her words say it best: "I had no idea how I wanted everything to look and was nervous because I didn't have a super clear direction. Since we'd worked together before, I knew you would be able to take the little pieces I had and make them into something amazing."

"I didn't need a full overhaul, just a fresh update, and you delivered beautifully. Now I'm genuinely proud of my site, and it's a true reflection of my business."

Your brand has this in it, too.

If you're curious what it would look like to close the gap between where your business is and where your brand is, let's start that conversation.
